In order to mention a balance owed to a patient or responsible party on a phone call, the Federal Trade Commission requires that the patient/responsible party's identity be verified. 1-800 Notify will verify the identity of the person on the phone by various means (e.g. Date of Birth, Social Security Number, etc.). This verification must be successfully completed prior to releasing the balance due or other private information.
Once the party's identity has been verified, then the 1-800 Notify Autopay by Phone service can be utilized. This will allow the patient / guarantor to pay their balance using any major credit card, usually within a minute by interacting with the secure system.
