This article shows you how easy it is to make Automated Patient Appointment Reminder Calls with MacPractice and 1-800 Notify (Mac Practice)
This shows the steps to export the schedule for calling from MacPractice to upload to your secure
account on www.1800notify.com.
Note on Phone Numbers: The primary phone number that will be called is the home phone. If home is not available, then use mobile phone, if no home or mobile, then use work phone in that order.
Note on Patient Nicknames: If you have a nickname for someone, please put it in parentheses:
“Michael (Mike)” so the system will say just the nick name. If you don’t use parentheses, then the system will end up saying both names: “Michael Mike” when it calls them.
How to do the Export:
1.) Click On Reports in the upper right corner.
2.) Click Scheduling in the left column and Appointments under that.
3.) Bring up the Appointment Report Screen and verify you have just the following fields checked:
DATE, PHONE, and TYPE.
Set the Start Date and End Date (middle of screen) to the date for which you want the calls to be made, usually 1 or 2 working days ahead of today.
4.) At the bottom of the screen click the Export button
5.) Export to a Text file (.txt) and note the file name and folder location where you SAVE the export file (usually your Desktop).
