This article will show you how to send customized professional reminder calls to all your MEDfx (www.medfx.com) scheduled patients. If you want to send affordable appointment reminder calls from MEDfx, you can use the service from 1-800 Notify by simply printing your daily schedule to a PDF file and uploading it to your HIPAA secure account at www.1800notify.com. It's very easy to setup and use. Once you get going, it just takes about 3 minutes a day to call all your patients!
NOTE: This procedure assumes you have a PDF print driver installed on your computer. (If installed, you will see a PDF option on the list of available printers when you go to print anything). If you don't see a PDF print option, then you can install a free one. We like PrimoPDF, it's free and seems to work well. We show you how to get that installed in this article: https://1800notify.zendesk.com/entries/53002209
1.) Login to MEDfx.
2.) From the Front Desk view, click Daily Appointment List as shown.
3.) Set the Selection Criteria to show the daily appointments for the day and location(s) for which you want to send reminders.
Practice - set to your practice.
Appointment Dates - set to the date of the appointments.
Location - set the location or locations for the reminders.
Provider/Resource - adjust as needed.
(the rest of the options you can leave alone)
Click F2 Save at the bottom to run the report.
4.) When the report appears on the screen for the selected day, then print the report to a PDF file.
If you don't see a PDF print option when you try to print your report, please install a free PDF driver, we show you how in this article: https://1800notify.zendesk.com/entries/53002209
In this example, we use PrimoPDF, but you can use any PDF print driver.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to select the highest resolution PDF file possible - how to do this varies by PDF printer drivers, but in PrimoPDF, there is a Prepress setting that is the highest. Look for something that says high resolution or prepress or similar. The higher quality PDF will generate much better results when 1-800 Notify converts it back into text to make your patient reminders.
5.) Select a Folder on your computer that you will remember or use your Desktop (TIP: You could create a folder on your Desktop called “1-800 Notify”)
6.) Adjust the file name for the date of the agenda you are printing – for example Oct. 4, 2015 would be named 10-04-15 (Don’t use “/” as they are not allowed).
YOU'RE DONE WITH GETTING THE SCHEDULE READY TO UPLOAD!
