Create a new Synthetic Speech (TTS) Text to Speech Item and Use it In a New Message

You can use the 1-800 Notify system to quickly create new Synthetic Speech or Text To Speech item and use it in a New message.  

With this article, you will be able to simply type a message that will be converted to a computer voice, called "Text to Speech" (TTS) by our system.

Getting Your Message Setup The First Time

NOTE: It can be a little more tricky to do the 1st time setup, if you need any help at all, please contact our support team for assistance with this (1-800-939-1853 or support@1800notify.com).

Log into your account at www.1800notify.com.

STEP 1: CREATE A NEW SYNTHETIC SPEECH ITEM

1-1. Click the Library tab, then the Speech sub-tab, and finally the NEW button.

1.2  Type your synthetic speech name, the Speech Text and select the voice to use.  Then Click Save.

Ava = English US Female, Tom = English US Male, Juan = Spanish Male, Paulina = Spanish Female

STEP 2: CREATE A NEW MESSAGE AND USE YOUR NEWLY CREATED SYNTHETIC SPEECH ITEM

2-1  Inside the Library tab, click the Reminders sub-tab, then click the NEW button to start creating your new message.

2-2  In the Name tab, type a name for your new reminder message.  Example: Office-Closure

Then click the Plugin tab at the top.

2-3  Select the Plug-In that matches the plug-in on your regular reminder messages.  For example, if your regular reminder messages use the "HealthFusion" plug-in, you would select "HealthFusion" here.  (If you need help, just contact our support team.)

Also, leave the Dial Plan set as Default unless you have a specific reason to change it.

2-4 From the Phone Tab, click New Action

2-5 Click the Say tab, then click the checkbox next to the Synthetic Speech name you just created in STEP 1 above.

2-6  Now you should see your item listed on the Calling Rules in the Actions right hand column.  Then click the Ans. Mach. tab.

2-7 From the Ans. Mach. tab, (which plays the message when an answering machine is detected), click the Copy Rules from Reminder Message button.  You should now see the same Synthetic speech item you added as an Action to the Phone tab.

2-8  Now, click the Options tab at the top.  This allows you to customize the Caller ID for this message, the Time Zone for your message (if required), and if you want specific people (other than the person who uploads the calling file) to receive a copy of the email Job Completed report.

2-9  Finally, in the lower right corner, click the SAVE button to save your new message.

2-10  When you want to use your new message, just select it from the list of Reminder Messages in the Upload Schedule window.
