Creating Broadcast or Emergency Announcement Messages in 1-800 Notify (Office Closing, Event, Announcement)

You can use the 1-800 Notify system to quickly create and send an emergency broadcast notice that will say whatever you want to your patients. With this article, you will be able to simply type a message that will be converted to a computer voice, called "Text to Speech" (TTS) by our system.

When might you use a Broadcast Message?

If you have to unexpectedly close the office due to any of the following:

  • bad weather,
  • a provider being ill,
  • power outage,
  • flood,
  • fire, 
  • some other disaster.

You might also want to send out a custom announcement for other reasons as well:

  • A special event that you are hosting (e.g. Open house, wellness seminar, etc.)
  • Announcing a new provider joining the practice
  • Announcing an office move
