FollowSet Up and Manage User Security in 1-800 Notify Reminder System
This article describes how to set up and manage user security within the 1-800 Notify reminder system. User security is managed by setting up Access Groups which restrict access to various screens and features of the 1-800 Notify system. Then, you assign one or many users to these groups. This method of security set up allows you to quickly set up and assign security to a large number of users. In addition, the added benefit is that you can quickly change the security for every user assigned to an Access Group.
STEP 1: Create Security Access Groups
1.1 Login to your account in 1-800 Notify (www.1800notify.com).
1.2 Click the ADMIN tab at the top, then the Access Groups button as shown.

1.3 Now you will see the User Access Group List window. Click the New button to create a new Access Group.

1.4 Now, type a name for the new User Access Group and check off any TAB, FUNCTION or BUTTON which you would like to prevent (restrict) users in this group from accessing.

SAFE MODE ON = Stop all jobs or stop the calling queue. All current and future jobs will be stopped.
SAFE MODE OFF = All jobs are running or the calling queue is running. All current and future jobs are now running / started.
NOTE: The Admin tab will be checked off by default if you check any of the other boxes, this prevents your user(s) from adjusting their own security levels.
NOTE: The number of check boxes and functions listed in this image above may look slightly different than shown here as Access Groups will be added and changed as additional features are added to or adjusted in the system.
1.5 Click SAVE to save your new access group.
TIP: You can DUPLICATE, MODIFY or DELETE Access Groups by first highlighting the Group in the list and clicking the button above.
STEP 2: Assign Users to Access Groups
Once you have set up User Access Groups, you can assign an individual user or any number of users to the Access Group.
2.1 Login to your account on www.1800notify.com.
NOTE: You must be set up as an Administrator with access to the User security area in order to make these changes.
2.2 Click the Admin tab and select one or several users from the list by holding the Ctrl key (Windows) or Command key (Mac) and clicking several users to highlight them.

2.3 Click the Group button.

2.4 Now,select the Group to assign to the selected user(s).

2.5 Finally, click the Save button.
