Forgot Your Password / Need to Reset a User Password

Sometimes you forget your password or a user of the system needs you to send them a temporary password.

Forgot Password? link on Login screen.

If you are trying to login to your account and have forgotten your password, then you can click the Forgot Password? link at the bottom of the login box.

Next, you will need to enter your username in the next window and click SUBMIT.

If you entered a username that is not found in the system, you will see an error message and you need to retry.  If you cannot remember your username, then please contact your local system administrator or you can contact 1-800 Notify support by email support@1800notify.com or by phone 1-800-939-1853.

If your username was found, then you will receive an email giving you a temporary password.

You will then receive an email giving you a temporary password from calls@1800notify.com.  

If you don't see this email, please check your JUNK, SPAM or similar folder to see if your email system might have caught it.

Changing Your Temporary Password (Recommended)

We recommend that you change the temporary password to something more secure by following the steps in this related article. 

 

Send Password button in Admin / Users Area.

NOTE: You need to have security access to the Admin area to send a temporary password for a user.

  1. Login to your account.

  2. Click the ADMIN tab at the top.

  3. Click to highlight a user in the list, then click the SEND PASSWORD button as shown.  (For safety reasons, you are only permitted to select one user at a time to send their password.)

  1. You will then see the users name shown in the next window, just click SUBMIT.

  1. The user will then receive the same temporary password email as if they had pressed the Forgot Password link.

This email will be sent from: calls@1800notify.com.  

TIP: If the user says they do not see this email, please ask them to check their JUNK, SPAM or similar folder to see if the email system might have caught it.
